OVERVIEW:
Software4Business has been designed to make the process of running your business quicker and easier. As a cloud based system, it has huge benefits to both yourself as well as your clients with functions such as product inventory, customer database, quotes & invoice generator, online payments, auto billing, content management system (CMS) and an eCommerce module that fully integrates with your accounts. Better still, it’s all accessed though one online interface - no more having to switch between different applications.
First impressions count; the way in which you present your business when sending out quotations and invoices should never be underestimated. The last thing that you want to do is to let your business down by sending out unprofessional looking Excel or Word generated accounts. Lumisi Software4Business generates fully branded PDF quotes and invoices, which are automatically emailed directly to your customer. Quotations can be accepted online and invoices can be paid by credit card. Such levels of automation save considerable time and are usually only offered by larger organisations.
The content management system (CMS) within Software4Business allows you to fully integrate, manage and update your website with ease - add pages, change images and update text. Also included is a fully-fledged blog module allowing you to completely utilise your writing skills whilst enhancing your website’s search engine optimisation (SEO) by posting keyword rich news and articles. Need to sell online? No problem a comprehensive eCommerce system is also integrated.
A customer once came to us explaining that they were struggling with stock control; because they were selling in-store and over the phone, then generating their invoices through Sage. They were also selling online via an eCommerce website system which was resulting in two separate customer databases, two separate product and stock databases and two separate databases of orders, all of which were being duplicated back into sage. Multiple data entry and inefficient stock control was causing serious issues.
As a result Software4Business has an electronic point of sale system (EPOS) which allows all store, telephone and online sales to be captured within the same database which in turn keeps stock inventory 100% up to date and in real time. It also synchronises your client database meaning that less data entry is required.

HOW IT STARTED:

“The system started out as an in-house alternative to complicated applications such as ‘Sage’ for organising day-to-day invoices and quotations; it was never the intention to make it a commercially available product. The development process initially stemmed from our quest for an accounting package that was quick and easy to use while streamlining our business operations, through fully integrating with our content managed website and e-commerce sales systems. Over a six year period as it was put through its paces, we are gradually improving areas with additional features and enhanced functionality which exceed the limitations of other market offerings. The time was right… In early 2011 a commercial decision was made that the software was too good to keep in-house and it had the potential to be sold as a stand-alone system in its own right.”
